This was the first time I bought something this expensive through Amazon, and it was definitely the first time I bought it without the item having been reviewed. Still, I decided to give it a shot and to my disappointment the item did not work. Not only were the instructions incredibly vague and inaccurate (referencing pieces that were not included and omitting others), but the lock could not be locked or unlocked from the outside!

With the fingerprint recognition technology, you can easily give your children or other family members access to your home without needing to worry about them losing the keys. Uses the latest biometric entrance technology with 150 fingerprints storage capacity for deadbolt model. This is not a handed lockset. This lock can be configured for both Right swing or Left swing doors. Can replace any standard door locks. This fingerprint door lock offers a sliding front cover that not only allows protection for the optical sensor but also activates the fingerprint scanner when lifted and it can be accessed by fingerprint, passcode, or backup key.
