I just love this product, if it only worked. The sensor gets confused a lot. The top takes to long to drop so if someone comes by and pushes the top down it than gets out of sequence. The buttons got stuck and caused $5.00 of battery's to drain in about a week. I bought it as a gold box deal. A little pricy for just a trash can even at the gold box discount. Good size. Perfect if you live alone and have no visitors to mess it up. If the company made one that had a better mechanism I would buy 10 of them for my company.Product Review: Stylish and convinient

This is a product that has been well though in its design.
Mainly because of the Stainless Steel look that has added elegance to the kitchen, but also because of how convenient it is to open its door automatically without touching it.
I did lots of research before I purchased this product and noticed some people complaining about the door breaking.
Please, don't get me wrong, I truly love this product and I would buy it again; however,
It's all about using common sense!!!!
If you turn the power off before replacing the bag OR do not FORCE the door open/close OR spill chemicals on the sensor, THEN you'll be find and it will work for a long time.
My lady tried to clean the whole unit (after almost one year of being purchased) and she used bleach over the plastic cover that protects the OPEN/CLOSE sensor. Well, this plastic layer has been damaged and I've improvised using Shipping tape instead (works well and replaceable).
One piece of advice, do not purchase the additional "power supply". The batteries have lasted a year, and STILL haven't used the power supply I purchased with it.
In conclusion, I recommend this product, just use common sense

Exactly what we were looking for and works like a charm! Shipped/delivered timely and easy to assemble. Wonderful because it instantly opens based on motion sensors...hands are always free and clean. Suggestion: put it in an area where you are not going to be triggering the sensors frequently. A great party pleaser for all ages and topic of discussion for all that visit the house!
