Product Reviews of gDiapers Little gPants 2-Pack Orange & Vanilla, Small

Product Review: Very cute, but expensive
Summary: 4 Stars

I really love gdiapers, but I couldn't handle the cost so I found a cloth diaper insert that fits in the plastic lining and now I have fasion and affordability. Give it a try!

Product Review: We love our g diapers
Summary: 5 Stars

I was thrilled to find g diapers. I had used cloth in the past and disposable diapers in the past. Having a diaper that is both re-usable and disposable has been great for us. G diapers are easier to use than the cloth I had in the past, but as convenient as disposables. They are also cute. I have been composting our wet diapers vs. flushing and is has been going well. I have been recommending g diapers to my friends with new babies.

Product Review: Wonderful diapers! Worth the cost!
Summary: 5 Stars

As a mother of 5 kids I have used both disposables and cloth over my 11 years of diapering...and now gdiapers! I love that gdiapers are biodegradable and better for the earth than disposables. I love that I don't have to wash a seperate load of laundry just for diapers! I especially love that I can flush away the messes and not have a diaper pail full of festering diapers! I have not had one single leak with these diapers (including overnight!) and they are so much cuter than disposables! I was also amazed at how trim they are! They are a bit thicker than disposables, but not by a lot. All of her clothes still fit easily over the gdiaper. When cleaning up a poopy diaper, I wipe her with flushable wipes (I love the Huggies flushables) and flush the wipes right with the diaper! I haven't had a clog yet!

The only downside to these diapers are the cost of the flushable liners. They are significantly more expensive than disposable diapers and it's been really hard for me to live with that extra cost! Daily I search online diaper forums looking for good deals...people who bought too many and are selling off their leftovers cheap. Also, Amazon offers 15% off if you sign up for regular devlieries. My baby is about to grow out of the small size, so I don't want to order 160 refills, but I will probably sign up for it once she is in mediums. Using Amazon's 15% off, small refills are 27.6 cents each. A little more expensive than disposables but not too outragous!

The bottom line is that I love these diapers. They are the best of both worlds! I wish they had been invented years ago so I could have used them with more than just my last child!! I recommend everyone gives them a try. The starter pack is reasonably priced and gives you everything you need to give it a good try. If it turns out that you don't like the system, sell the pants on Craigslist (or ebay or diaperswappers) and you will just about make your money back! The risk to you is very little with the starter pack! Happy diapering!

Product Review: finally! a cover that fits my tiny guy!
Summary: 5 Stars

We don't use the g diaper inserts, except when we go out. They are good for that, so you don't have wet diapers in the diaper bag to haul back home. I would be VERY cautious about flushing these at home... they are bulky.

We are trying to go all cloth, and I generally use a folded lightweight cotton diaper inside the plastic part of the g diaper, where the throw-away part should go. I LOVE THESE AS COVERS! No other diaper cover on the market comes close to fitting my little man, who started wearing these around 7 pounds 6 ounces. The velcros are closed as tight as possible to fit him - but all the other covers are way too big (we have Gerber plastic pants, BumGenius, Thirsties, FuzzyBumz... all are HUGE on a slim baby with slim legs). If you have a small baby, the small size g diapers are the way to go! Buy a few "starter packs," because the individual covers on their own are more expensive than if you just get a starter pack that has two.

Yes, they leak sometimes when he poops - but he is breastfed and only 4 weeks, which means runny poop that is just hard to contain. The reason paper dipaers contain this type of poop is because they are so absorbent - which generally leads to forgetting to change them often enough, and is a key reason why almost every American baby is suffering from such awful diaper rash! I have six g-diaper covers and a couple of packs of cotton diapers for inserts, and we do one load of diapers a day to keep up. A small price to pay for a smooth baby butt with no angry red rash! G diapers rock my world, baby!

Product Review: flushable inserts rock
Summary: 5 Stars

g diapers are a perfect marriage between cloth and disposable. we use them as our primary diapers now and they are absolutely as easy as regular disposables once you get the hang of swishing, flushing &/or composting. these are great diapers and they are super cute and not too bulky unlike many cloth diapers.
