Product Reviews of gDiapers Little gPants 2-Pack Orange & Vanilla, SmallProduct Review: Green Trend An Excuse for Poor Product Development Summary: 1 Stars
Be wary about using this product. Lots of hype, good in concept - poor in execution. Requires a lot of adaptation and work from the consumer. Would not consider using again until a G Diaper 3.0 comes out.
* Shell gets stained on occassion (1 out of 4 washes)
* Liner gets stained often, and requires washing and drying. 2 out of 3 uses requires washing.
* Tear-and-flush leaves a mess of hydrogel powder - difficult to clean
* Time and work intensive - requires 2 flushes per insert; even more onerous if you have to get rid of more than 1 at a time; "loading" insert into liner is a pain - only way around this is to have several "pre-loaded".
Product Review: I love them and so will the environment!! Summary: 5 Stars
So far these diapers have been working great for my 6 week old. I noticed a lot of people complained about clogged pipes. Just so its clear you can either flush these, compost them, or throw them away in the trash. You have your pick of what system works for you. I'm throwing mine in the trash they will completely breakdown in a landfill in less than a year as opposed to 500 years for a regular disposable diaper. So far no leaks, you have to make sure you get the fit right otherwise you will have leaks. Make sure to visit the manufacturers website they even have customer service you can call for help on getting the fit right over the phone.
Product Review: Love gdiapers Summary: 4 Stars
I love gdiapers. The only thing I have a problem with is that I did not know we had tree roots in our sewer system so we had a backup in our basement. We now use them only outside of the house and use cloth at home. We only have to wash the "gpant" every few uses but every time Ophelia poops we have to wash the liner. You can rinse it out and leave it so you can wash it when you get time and there is not a poop smell in the house.
Product Review: Not for poopers Summary: 2 Stars
I really wanted to like the gdiapers, but it just doesn't work well for us. I hope that you'll still try it for yourself to see if it works for you.
Anyhow, the way it works is you have an outer pair of shorts that is just regular cloth with velcro closures on each side of the waistband. Inside, there are snaps to attach a waterproof hammock type thing that holds the disposable paper-like diaper inserts. In theory, the insert acts as an absorbant diaper, the sling keeps the insert from leaking when saturated, and the shorts holds it all together.
For us, it worked fine with pee diapers, but when the kid let loose (which is about 3-4 times a day for us) the poop would always spill out of the sling and dirty the shorts. So we are constantly, washing both the slings and the shorts. Also, because the inserts aren't as spongey as disposable diapers, the poop wouldn't absorb well. So when he pooped, it would spread everywhere and require a lot more wiping.
Product Review: Not really convenience Summary: 3 Stars
If I have a choice, I will give 2 1/2 stars. I don't really like it too much. Putting the insert in the liner it's okay. What I don't like is every time after my baby poops. I have to wash the liner because the poops always get on there. In the middle of the night, I need to rinse it off the poops from the liner. That's too much work. The pant looks so cute, but I will prepare to use it Huggie pure diaper. It's much easier and have to same material cotton, less work and almost the same price. Why waste so much of time to wash the liner.
