Product Review: Not a bad cloth diaper

When we made the decision to switch to cloth, I was attracted to these diapers right away. They are trim, cute and come in a variety of colours. I also liked the price -- initially. While you can get two pairs for $25, it is important to take into account the cost of inserts (whether you choose to use cloth or disposable) AND the cost of replacement liners, since the ones that come with each cover will only last for roughly six months. After that, they lose their waterproofing.
I will keep these in the rotation, but I didn't find them as easy to use as pocket diapers. I'd recommend them to people wanting to use them over prefolds because they are really cute.

I bought these dipers because they are better for the environment. I love the diapers themselves but the inserts are a pain in the butt. I have a little boy and when ever he urinates the front get completely soaked, crunches up and the back of the insert is dry as a bone. The diapers are also very impractical for babies that sleep through the night, I'll put a dry diaper on at night and he wakes up soaked. Wet diaper, wet bed clothes, wet bed sheets-which is really annoying. I have to change him every 2 hours for him to stay dry or double layer the diaper.
I find them more time consuming with all the extra washing and disposing of the diapers.
Plus these things are not cheap. If you want to buy them I would recommend buying more than just the 2 diapers that come with the starter kit.
Sorry Mother Earth once I'm done with this pack I'm switching back to disposables.

We abandoned disposable diapers in favor of cloth when our first child was about 6 months old, and I was *sure* we'd never go back. I'd looked at g-diapers when she was smaller, before we switched to cloth, but hadn't tried them. When our second child was about 5 months old, we planned a 6-day trip, and the idea of having to lug around dirty diapers and find time to do laundry while on vacation was overwhelming. A friend (who loved the product), suggested that I give them a try for the trip - I did, and I LOVED them, I've never looked back. Aside from being eco-friendly, they're the most versatile diaper I've ever used. It's just as easy to use cloth inside as it is a flushable insert, they're adorable, fit wonderfully and are much trimmer than other cloth covers that I've tried. The company's customer service is stellar, and they really go the extra mile for their customers and stand behind their product. I think so highly of the product that it's not my default baby shower gift!
They have also sized the diapers to be long-lasting, my daughter is now 20 months, and has been in a medium since she was 5 months. I don't anticipate that she'll ever need a large, since she's mostly potty trained, but as a joke, we've tried them medium on her 3 1/2 year-old sister, and it's comfortable on her as well.

Could not have found better diapers. They are really cute, really practical, and very gentle on the skin of my 4 month old son. No bleached fibers, nice breathable fabric. Not a rash since he was born. Love the fact that the inserts are biodegradable and flush easily down the toilet once torn in half. More expensive than disposables but worth the extra expense. Did not want to compromise on the comfort of my baby's buttocks nor on his opportunity to enjoy a clean planet as he grows up.
