Product Reviews of gDiapers Cloth Diaper Inserts, Medium-XLarge (6 Count)Product Review: Gdiapers are a waste of money Summary: 1 Stars
Don't buy Gdiapers unless you have money to throw away. The concept is great but the product is terrible. The cloth diapers get the pant damp so that you have to wash the whole thing everytime instead of just the insert. The velcro gets lint stuck in it in the wash and then never stays together like it should (wish they had done them w/ snaps) and the disposable inserts are SOOOOO much more expensive then disposable diapers. There are better quality cloth diapers out there if thats what you want to do. And there customer service department is useless, I've tried. They don't stand behind there product they just say that you must be doing something wrong. What a waste!!
Product Review: Great product! Summary: 5 Stars
Great product-absorbs well! For overnight wear, make a "hemp sandwich." Place the tan sides together and it's double the protection!
Product Review: Green and Saves Money Summary: 5 Stars
If you want to save money and don't mind washing dirty diapers, then this is a great option. Thick and absorbent. Plus, the prices on Amazon.com is a lot cheaper than those other companies that sell baby products online.
Product Review: It's all about the fit! Summary: 5 Stars
We decided to try cloth diapering to save money, and so far gdiapers have been a good buy. At first we were discouraged because they leaked. But we decided to give them another shot, and after watching the videos on the website, I'm sold. The secret is to nestle the liner in the creases of your baby's thighs just like underwear.
Product Review: Love gDiapers! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using these since my baby turned 3 months old in Fall 2008. She started in medium gDiapers, and eventually moved into large, so I've always used this size refills. I've always flushed the poopy ones, and thankfully, haven't had any issues with my toilet (on city sewer). In the warmer months, I compost the non-poopy ones.
Yes, it's true that the gDiaper snap-in liner often gets dirty unless it's a really solid poop, but it washes off easily enough. I just invested in some of the gCloth refills to use on days that we're not out and about so much, but I still find the disposable refills convenient for when we are on the move.
I feel so good about not throwing hundreds of diapers into landfills, not to mention that I'm not enclosing my baby's bum in all kinds of chemicals and plastic. I really think that my baby has experienced less diaper rash since these are so breathable. I have another baby on the way, and he/she will definitely be a gBaby too.
Another gDiaper success story: A fellow mom was using plastic disposables (boo) and was complaining that overnight, her son would pee so much that the diaper often exploded and all the gel stuff would seep all the way into the footies of his pjs. So, I mentioned that I've never had that issue with gDiapers overnight up to 12 hours (I usually use 1 1/2 liners at night). She went out and bought a starter kit the next day, and was happy to report that there are no more explosions! If only I could convince her to use them all day too!
