I tried Zyrtec for almost a week and side effects were worse than severe allergies so I can't use it anymore. Although it wiped out my allergy symptoms without drying up my sinuses like with other allergy meds, it created another monster. Extreme lethargy, agitation, and depression came in four hours after taking it. I was biting people's heads off. I laid in bed like a brick entertaining myself with suicidal thoughts, evil doings, replaying bad memories. This surprised me. I don't ever feel this awful, not even on my worst PMS days. The first time I took half of a 10mg pill and I thought I was coming down with the flu, wishing the day would be over. I couldn't move my body. So I took one-fourth a pill and that didn't help either. I was very sluggish and foggy. I think it interferes with my serotonin, as I am a chemically sensitive person. I found out I wasn't the only one experiencing these side effects. If you go to [...] you can find patients' Zyrtec experiences which mirrored mine. I have year-round allergies and have taken different over-the-counter and prescription medications for many years. Zyrtec works better than anything I have tried. I used it when it was a prescription and kept using it after it was moved to an OTC medication. It works great for itchy eyes, sneezing, coughing and post-nasal drip. I suffer from allergies, My symptoms include headaches and sinus pressure every day all day. I am pregnant and my Dr recommended Zyrtec and it works. I don't get tired or jittery and I only have to take this product 1 time a day. It is good for 24 hours. I have recommended this product to quite a few people and they have had great results also. I no longer suffer and you should try it maybe you won't either.
