Product Review: Very handy device for gripping jar lids.

This device is very handy. It also mounted easily. I purchased it for my 72 year old mother and she installed it one day when I was not home. She used a drill to make the screw go in the cabinet bottom easier. She says it works well. It is a little different than one I had purchased several years ago in that it has reverse serrated edges to put the lid back on.Product Review: Very well made, heavy gauge steel, not a bit of plastic.

Very well made, heavy gauge steel, not a bit of plastic. Should literally last a lifetime. The kind of thing you will unscrew and take with you if you move. The chrome is very nice, not cheap sprayed-on type. It has ridges for both opening and sealing jars, a bonus they don't advertise(but should). And it's the same price as molded plastic openers that maybe will last 1 or 2 years.Product Review: Works Great

If you have trouble opening jars or bottles, this is the product for you. I can open jars with 1 hand that I could not open using 2 hands. Also, it takes almos no effort to open the jar.
Install under a cabinet, slide jar into v shaped opening and twist. Jar is open.

This product is made of metal and is of excellent quality at a reasonable price. It reminds me of the standards that prevailed years ago prior to importing cheap products from overseas manufactures that fail to maintain any quality standards. This device will both open and close stubborn screw off lids. If you have difficulties using your hands, or just lack the strength to open jars this product is for you. A quality product that will be well worth your investment for a long time to come. It is one of those items that I feel ranks up there with a dishwasher. ie. something that you don't really need but are happy that you have it for the convenience that it provides.
