After a month in India staying in all grades of hotels from 3-star to 5 star I returned home having not gotten ill at all. I saw a physician on a tv show recommend the small version of this appliance but my husband insisted I take the large one with me. I used the wand on the tv remote, drinking glasses, duvet covers, mattress, pillows, and all handles including doors, safe, sink and bath. The wand is especially effective on mold. You can actually see the mold spots lightening as I did on tile grout, shower curtain, and duvet cover. I even used it on the sweaty interior as well as the bottom of my shoes. There is a specific warning in the instructions to not look directly at the light and I must admit that while using it I could smell ozone which may not be good for someone who has respiratory issues.India airports are in a high security mode and only two checkers asked me "what is the long electronic thing" packed in my carry-on; they were satisfied with my answer and let it through. I wish I had brought a pocket-sized one with me to use on some of the restaurant flatware and public bathrooms, although antibacterial wipes helped some. I felt safer having used this product and highly recommend it. I have no experience in dealing with the manufacturer or this listed vendor which prevents me from giving it 5 stars.
