this gum completely loses its flavor within 2 minutes, maybe less. i'm not kidding. pretty disappointing. don't think i'd buy it again. who wants to chew on flavorless gum just 2 minutes after you pop it in your mouth?? with all the good reviews, i was expecting a much better product.Product Review: good deal

This gum is so similar to the gum I had as a child, it is called chiklet. I love this gum and I bought it after reading ' Kiss your Dentist Goodbye ' ( which I totally recommend ). The only thing I do not like about this is the price. Wish it were a little bit cheaper.

I am a Dental Hygienist and there is a lot of supporting research to show that xylitol actually helps prevent tooth decay and reduces ear infections. Xylitol is a sugar alcohol that cannot be eaten by bacteria the way carbohydrates can. It also creates a surface on the tooth and mucosal tissue that is inhospitable to bacteria. Therefore, you reduce the number of bacteria in the oral cavity and eustachial tube area. Studies first conducted in Finland showed a reduction in chronic ear infections in young children who used xylitol. You need at least four exposures per day of about 3-5 minutes each.
