I bought this after getting ankle surgery and being put in a cast. I purchased the full leg version since my ankle cast was close to the knee. It is easy to use and put on, but taking it off is a little hard since it fits quite snug around the bottom of the cast.
The first few days with it were a little painful as sucking out all the air pushes the Xerosox right up against my cast, where my sutures were. But I was completely dry! And, the tread on the bottom of the foot help prevent slipping in the shower. Just make sure you pull up the sock so the tread is flat against your foot before you take out the air, otherwise you'll have a fold on the bottom.
I haven't used it to take a bath yet, but that's next on my list.
This is so worth it after soaking my leg trying a regular bag & tape. And since I'm in a cast for over 6 weeks, I'm getting my money's worth.

XeroSox fits snugly and comfortably, telling you that it is maintaining an airtight, absolutely waterproof seal before you even get in the water. There are no surprises.
