I have had great luck with this monitor. It is durable, I have had it for at least 5 years. It also is accurate as I have taken it to the Dr.'s office and compared results. I have "White Coat Syndrome" where my pressure is higher at the office. For this reason I bought this little monitor so I could measure my blood pressure at home. I use my Wristech BP machine every day. Although I was advised by my nurse, who usually does my BP the traditional way, that these type machines are not really accurate, I found the machine's readings to correspond closely to the nurses readings. I usually take at least two readings and average the results. Be sure to use the machine in a same manner, location, and posture to assure improved consistancy.Product Review: Dont buy this disaster

Using this monitor will probably give you a stroke! It is very inacurate. I have had readings like 190/101 2 minutes later i get 125/50 !Product Review: Get a manual type.

I don't know what other reviewers were using but it wasn't what I had.
Following the instructions exactly would not produce repeated results within 20 points.
I tried two before I gave up.
Vender was uncooperative and had to get money back from Amazon.

I bought the WrisTech Blood Pressure Monitor hoping to find an inexpensive, portable machine that would be close to accurate as possible. I would be comparing this to blood pressure checks from my doctor.
After receiving the WrisTech and using it for a couple of months, each and every check has been fairly close to what I have been receiving at the doctor using the regular arm cuff.
I've read the other reviews and I'm not sure why they were having difficulties, but this has been an excellent little machine for me and my family. I check my results both day and night and they have been consistent as compared to the doctor's office every two weeks. I think there has been from 1-5 points off. I think that's terriffic for such an inexpensive piece of equipment. Like anything you buy that has been made, perhaps there were a couple of flawed units out there. WrisTech Blood Pressure Monitor
