Product Reviews of Wet-Stop3 Bedwetting Alarm System (Green)

Product Review: Do Not Buy this Product
Summary: 1 Stars

This product was ineffective and did not work. My child would rip the alarm off at night and would not get up to use the bathroom. The wire eventually broke and was useless.

Also, the alarm would be set off by perspiration and was difficult to reset.

It is a waste of $60.

Product Review: Does not work - poorly done
Summary: 1 Stars

We ordered the alarm from Amazon and it worked first night. Then the sensor stopped working; even when I pour water on sensor nothing happened. I replaced the battery several times, but it looked like the contacts were loose. So I returned it back and decided to give this product another chance ordering the new one. Again the same problem - with the brand new Wet-Stop3 and brand new batteries I was testing it with water and it works roughly one time out of 3-4. I think it is the same problem with the loose contacts, because when I press it firmly in my hand the sensor is working. And of course it didn't work first night I used it... Very disappointed, will have to return this one again and may be order a different brand.

Product Review: Does not work for my son
Summary: 1 Stars

My son is nine years old and really wants to learn to stay dry at night so he can go on overnight trips with other boys. We were given a hand-me-down alarm (since it was used we did not have the packaging so we had no idea what brand it was). It helped him tremendously for him a few weeks but eventually broke.

I purchased this alarm a few weeks ago and it has not worked nearly as well as the one we had previously. The first few nights, it would not go off until he had fully soaked his underwear and sheets. Then, the next few days it went off numerous times before he wet at all, keeping him from falling asleep to begin with.

I am very disappointed in this product and feel I've wasted fifty dollars. My son is very frustrated at his lack of progress with the new alarm.

Product Review: Doesn't work
Summary: 1 Stars

The unit does not work. It goes off when dry (as soon as my son puts it on) and won't turn off. Then, when wet, it does not go off. A real disappointment. Will try to return it.

Product Review: Doesn't work for deep sleepers--*Revised review*
Summary: 4 Stars

I had high hopes for this after reading the reviews, but for 3 nights now, the alarm plus vibration doesn't remotely stir my 5-year-old deep sleeper. She just lies there blissfully sleeping away in a puddle of urine while my husband and I hear the beeping and wake up in the next room. I am trying not to dispair, but her just turned 3-year-old sister wakes up on her own at night to go potty and hasn't had an accident at night for a long time. Until we find something to condition her to wake when she has the urge to go, I guess the only solution is for my husband and I to take turns waking her a couple of times at night to go to the potty. I do not recommend this product at all for anyone who has a deep sleeper like ours. Even on the most "obnoxious" setting with the alarm plus vibration, your child will still not wake up.

UPDATE: I have changed my Wet Stop review to 4 stars because apparently, you really, really do need to wait until the child is 6 years old. I had read about that after we tried this alarm when she was 5. So, we held onto this alarm and tried it again a few months after my daughter turned 6. The first few nights were brutal. My husband and i got no sleep because she was peeing the bed and mostly sleeping through the alarm. But, we stayed with it, as recommended, and in about 5 nights, she still wasn't fully waking up when the alarm went off. But, when the alarm did go off, we would check on her, and she'd urinated just a little bit. Although groggy, she could hold the rest so that we could get her to the bathroom. Then by 8-10 days after starting the Wet Stop "program," she was waking up when it went off, holding in her urine, and making it to the bathroom to go. By two weeks, we didn't even need the alarm on her. It trained her to wake up when she had to go. It's been about a month since she's been fully potty trained at night and has had NO ACCIDENTS! She still sleeps very deeply and doesn't ever seem to remember waking up to go potty at night. Our other daughter does know when she wakes up to go, so we know that our oldest just is OUT when she sleeps. But, now she is out of night-time pants, finally. It felt like we'd never get here! So, YOU HAVE to wait until the child is old enough, and YOU HAVE to give it some time to work!!! It will not work in 2-3 nights. You have to stay with it for 2-3 weeks. I'm so glad we gave it another try.
