Product Reviews of Wet-Stop3 Bedwetting Alarm System (Green)Product Review: Really works! Summary: 5 Stars
Was intrigued by the reviews, but my 6 YO was a heavy sleeper and doesn't like change. He was getting tired of bringing his sheets down to the wash each day so we told him before it arrived that we had a beeper to help hime stop. He was skeptical, not wanting to be woken up. The first couple nights, I heard the alarm and when I got to his room, he was already up trying to unsnap it so he could go to the potty. No distress at all. he just did it and back to sleep. Now we hook to underwear but just leave the beeper in the bed rather than around the collar. Previously, he was wetting 6 out of seven nights. First week he was woken up by the alrm each night only slightly wet. (one night full wet) The second week has been All Gold Stars and he is thrilled. Looks like it has worked in just over 2 weeks. Crazy. But all involved are happy!
Product Review: Save money. This is better than Malem Summary: 4 Stars
woo Hoo! I am typing this review a week after "graduation". We are now 5 weeks from the last accident. It is all due to this product.
My son is 10. Trust me, we have tried many things, including the $120 Malem. Malem worked, but my son hated it so much that when about 4 months after his "last" graduation, when he regressed, he refused to put it back on. It tore holes in his PJ's and worst than that it flopped all over while he slept. We tried it in many locations but it just BUGGED him.
This product uses a magnet that does not flop as bad ( the magnet is more centered than the malem safety pin) It is also less embarassing with siblings because it is quieter.... But due to that I DID have to use a baby monitor so I could hear when it went off. (The malem I could hear all the way in my room.) With both I had to get up to help him get up when it went off. This one just added a baby monitor to my tool chest. When the alarm sounded he would stop momentarily and I would go in and wake him up and walk him to the restroom (in his not quite conscious state). We managed to use this alarm without any siblings knowing what was afoot. Good for a 10 year old's dignity around his younger brother who was night time trained years and years ago.
It came with a star chart. Important for tracking, but also this was good because his self confidence was so low. He got a silver star sticker for nights where the alarm sounded and he stopped (always when I remembered to turn on the monitor)Gold stars were for totally dry nights. Because the silver stars existed he got a lot of positive feedback, which helped to keep this reluctant alarmed child wearing the alarm. I copied the chart and cut out the calendars so that the juvenile pictures on the chart were not making him feel bad.
The time line for us was one month of occasional accidents with the alarm, then he was just dry every night all of a sudden. He continued to wear the alarm for a month to be sure... He now is off the alarm unless he has 2 accidents in one week. That is our agreement. And he is so happy to be dry I know he will use it again if need be and that the next time will be much easier than the last time.
I hope you find something that works for you. This worked very well for us.
Product Review: Saved my sanity!!!!1 Summary: 5 Stars
This bedwetting alarm saved our sanity! We were at our wits end with our 4 year old daughter who didn't seem to care that she was still wetting the bed. We put in on vibrate so the alarm wouldn't scare her. For the first few weeks she was still wetting completely but after that it went to fewer and fewer nights of bedwetting! It helped my daughter quit wetting the bed in about 2 months! We can not stop singing the praises of the Wet-Stop! I would recommend it to anyone!
Product Review: Seems to be working well, but you should buy an extra wire Summary: 4 Stars
It seems to be working well for us. The alarm and vibration combination is effective enough to wake our daughter, even when she's laying on it. She hasn't wet enough to get through her cloth training pants and soak her bed for at least a week. Half the time she's dry all through the night now. We've been using it for a month. I think by the end of another month we'll have a little girl who doesn't wet the bed.
The one complaint I have is that the sensor clip that clips onto her underwear started out nice and tight but has gotten looser over the month. Now it often comes unclipped by morning. It's still in her underwear and effective if she wets, but not clipped securely into place. So, I'm about to buy a new wire so it'll have a tight clip again.
Other than that, it's a great product. I'd recommend it (with an extra wire) for anyone with a bedwetting child.
Product Review: Should be louder Summary: 4 Stars
Wish were a little louder, maybe with adjustable volume. I usually can't hear it from my room, so need a baby monitor.
