Product Reviews of Wet-Stop3 Bedwetting Alarm System (Green)Product Review: It worked for us 3 1/2 yr old girl Summary: 5 Stars
We bought it for our 3 1/2 yr old girl who was a sound sleeper and woke up wet every night. She would even have accidents durning the day. We showed her how it works and how loud it was. We started on Friday night it took 6 night for her to train her brain to hold her pee. Well worth the money and no more pull ups. We have even let her cousin borrow it so we will see if she has success with it. We liked that fact it was very small and the nights she didn't want to put it on it was small enought to put it on the outside of her underware and clip the senson on her pjs.
Product Review: It works!!! Very happy! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm very happy with this product!the feedbacks helped me a lot in deciding with my purchase.I'm glad to write that I'm one of the satisfied customers! My son is a very deep sleeper but the alarm still wakes him-up, he finished going in the potty and removed the first layer of comforter/waterproof mattress on top of his bed, changed his jammies then goes back to sleep.I put a old comforter, folded in half on top of the waterproof mattress so clean-up is a breeze-even he can do it, I just told him to dumped the wet bedding in the empty bath tub and I take care of it in the morning,'finally!! a break from doing big piles of laundry with this Wet-Stop 3.!!I highly recommend this product to all parents who are in the process of nightime potty training their children.
Product Review: It works!!!! We're so happy with this product Summary: 5 Stars
It's been a difficult year or two of trying to find ways to have my son to learn how to wake up and not wet the bed. Bought books, bought covers, went through the Internet, heard people tell us that some people learn later than others but just be patient, we would wake him up every several hours to go to the bathroom, sometimes even sleep with him, so we can wake up with him and take him to the bathroom but it was hard. In fact, we were spending so much on overnight pull-ups.
I bought this product because a) it was way cheaper than the others b) easy to use
This literally just goes under the shirt and hooks up to shirt collar area. There is a clip that goes on the underwear area and just the slight dampness the alarm will trigger.
So, the first week of using it, it was a learning process and getting our 5-year-old used to it. But by the second week, he's gone two weeks without bedwetting and he learned how to hold his pee. It's been a month now and he's learned to hold his pee, wakes up when the alarm gets a hint of dampness and goes to the bathroom himself. It literally has worked for us.
I wish we invested in this earlier (would have saved us quite a bit of money) but I'm very happy with this product! Highly recommended.
Product Review: It works, but there is a battery compartment flaw Summary: 3 Stars
I like this alarm, and it works....if it has power. There were a few nights when the alarm didn't go off until I realized what the problem is.
The unit takes 2 AAA batteries. As most people would expect, the - side of the battery goes against a spring and the + side of the battery goes against a flat metal connector. Well, the battery compartment of this device does one battery the correct way, and the other battery the wrong way. They do mark how to insert the batteries, so that's good. The main problem is with the spring going up against the + end of one of the battery. The battery I was using didn't have metal on the + end in the recessed portion, so the spring would not always touch the protruding metal part. I ended up putting a metal washer up against the protruding side to make the metal surface area larger and then the spring always had solid contact with the battery afterwards, and the unit worked fine.
I have NEVER in my life seen a spring on the + side of the battery before, so I would consider that a design flaw. For that I am taking off 2 stars, since many people would not be able to figure out this problem or know how to fix it if they had the same battery design that I had.
Product Review: It's Working Summary: 5 Stars
My 5 1/2 year old daughter has been using the alarm for a little over 3 weeks now. She is a VERY deep sleeper so she does not wake up when she needs to to potty and wets the bed EVERY night, and usually more than once a night. I had my doubts if the alarm would work with her. After many, many months of have NO dry nights at all, she has had 9 completely dry nights in the past 12 days and there were several nights in the past 3 weeks where she wet just a little but stopped herself and got up and finished in the potty, which is what she is supposed to do.
In the first 10 days there were nights that seemed unsuccessful because a few times she wouldn't even get up when the alarm went off. She just lay there for about an hour and I just let the alarm keep going off until she finally got up. Other nights she did what she was supposed to do, which was to get up and turn off the alarm and change her PJ's, etc. But during that time, I think the alarm was still training her body to wake up when she had the urge to pee because after about 10 days, she just started having dry nights. It has been really amazing. We are still in the process of it but it is working. I think they are supposed to wear the alarm until they are dry for 30 days so we have a ways to go yet but I am very pleased with it. The alarm comes with a chart and stickers. She loves to be able to put a gold star on her chart so that has helped as well.
Please be careful about the cord. It is very long and if the alarm comes undone from their PJ's, the cord can get wrapped around their necks. This happened one night with my daughter so now I am sure to pin the alarm on instead of just using the magnet.
