Product Reviews of Waterpik Waterflosser Cordless Rechargeable WP-360W

Product Review: Disappointed
Summary: 1 Stars

I had the 'original' waterpik for 10 years. This one leaked from the first use. When you recharge it - make sure there is no water in the tank or it will drip out of the charging hole. The 'flip top' on the water tank broke off in 4 months and the whole thing stopped working in 8 months. I think that was due to water leaking into the motor. Would NEVER buy again!

Product Review: Disappointed in Waterpik
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought one of these to replace my tank model that had literally worn out. I feel this model is subeffective and I have struggled with it for the very last time. I feel it is a faulty product, not up to Waterpik's innovations and reputation. I read the other reviews that are negative and I agree with them all. I assumed it was not available anymore, but here it still is. This model does not do what a water irrigation system should do (the tank model of Waterpik). This one is a big waste of money. However, I do want to say that I feel using oral water jets is the best way to clean between teeth, remove tiny lodged particles, and best of all, strengthen the gums, which all add up to less $$ at the dentist. The original invention of personal dental water irrigation was genius. It's just this particular style that I feel is not up to Waterpik standards. Spend a little more, get the bigger one with adequate tank and adjustable force. You won't be sorry.

Product Review: Disappointed!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought the WaterPik WP-360W in Jan. '07 at my local Walgreens. I had been planning for some time to purchase a oral irrigator because I wanted to improve my oral health. I looked at different types and I decided on this one because it was portable and rechargable, which I thought was a great idea. The first 3 months it worked well, but by April I noticed I would have to charge it for longer and longer periods of time. Even after doing that I would have to recharge after only using it 2 days. So fast-forward to June, I turned it on and it ran for 2 seconds and then nothing. I thought maybe if I charged it for 2 days that this might help, so I tried turning it on and it completely ceased to work.

The only reason why it's getting a 1 star rating is that in the period time it did work, the condition of my gums improved and so did my dental check-ups.

My recommendation to WaterPik is to make this product so that you can replace the rechargeable battery yourself, instead of going through the hassle of contacting their Customer Service to replace this with another WaterPik WP-360W.

Product Review: Disappointing Product- Buy this as a disposable
Summary: 1 Stars

The product did a decent job of cleaning. The non-portable unit really did work much better, but this one was portable. Stopped taking charge and dropped dead. They should sell this as a disposable product for a disposable price. Very disappointed.

Product Review: Disappointing Quality
Summary: 2 Stars

Like the other reviewers, I was initially impressed with this. I too remember the bulky, sink top unit I used in the 70's. After oral surgery recently, I asked the dentist how to prevent the ocurrance, and he recommended a Waterpik. I travel a lot, so I bought the portable. After just about six months of use, my unit died last night. It sounds like the impeller (part of the pump) sheared a pin, so all I get is a high pitched whine from it... These are my observations:

Battery life is not great, but acceptable. I noticed a perceptible decrease in performance after 4 or 5 days of using the unit without recharging. It's a pain to have to travel with the adapter so you can recharge this thing in the hotel all the time.

Water volume and pressure were very good, so no complaints there. It really does clean the gum line and other areas very well, so doing this cleaning ritual is very important to oral health. It is very important to read the instructions on the proper use of this thing, or you'll do more harm than good.

Reservoir size is small, but that is the price to pay for a travel sized unit. Waterpik does include a two (2) year warranty, but you must have the original receipt for warranty service. After reading other reviews, I'll be purchasing the Panasonic portable.
