Product Review: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!

I thought this would be a great product and was so happy to find a battery operated water-pik due to the limited counterspace I have inmy bathroom. Wow was I wrong...the first one I ordered worked great for about 2 weeks then the battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than one use. I contacted Waterpic and the shipped me another one, this one also now won't hold a charge for more than one use. I don't want tohave to keep this item plugged in all the time just to use it, it defeats the purpose of a "battery powered water pic"!!!!
Guess I'll look for something else!

I've owned this product for about 6 months now. First using it in a more standard situation and now with braces. The battery life is great (1-2 weeks per charge using a couple times a day), it's fairly easy to use and does a great job at what it's supposed to do. The reservoir is far too small though. It was decent pre-braces, I'd generally make it to the end on one fill but now with braces I have to fill it up 2-3 times at least. For a product pitched as being a great product for someone with orthodontics they didn't think that through. Unlike the ones that attach to your faucet you can mix in a little mouthwash, which is nice and I like the varying tip options. Other than the reservoir size my only other big complaint is the amount of water that ends up anywhere but in your mouth, that can take some getting used to. Because it's cordless though I can hop in the shower and not worry about accidentally cleaning the bathroom with it.

The rechargability makes this an improvement over its predecessor, and I don't even mind that the reservoir is so small, it runs out of water all the time -- if it had higher capacity, it would be too big to hold. What I hate, as another reviewer mentioned, is that the tip rotates so loosely that you can't control the stream. So the problem areas in the back of my mouth -- for which my dentist recommended a Waterpik -- aren't being cleaned. The result is a big mess, and consequently the applicance sits unused in my medicine cabinet most of the time.Product Review: Died in two months

I purchased this item on May 24th, and it died on July 18th. When it was working, it performed fairly well. The issue with having to refill several times while "water flossing", gets better as you become more familiar with product. But there is an issue with this product, causing it to die only after a couple of months of usage. I took really good care of my Waterpik, and it still died in two months.Product Review: Disappointed

I purchased the unit for travel, specifically for an upcoming European trip. While in Europe the unit did not recharge even with the adaptor and ceased functioning permanently. The representative at Waterpik stated this limitation was enumerated in the handbook that came with the unit although I could not find it. Waterpik was courteous enough to send me a new unit. So don't plan on travelling out of the country where there is a different power supply.
