I purchased these pitchers to use in my preschool classroom. We give the children water each day in dixie cups and it was cumbersome to use 2-quart pitchers because our sinks weren't built to accomodate filling them. This meant filling them at the hallway water fountain. These pitchers are short enough to fit into our sinks to fill and also are much easier to use. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars are the lids are made of thin plastic and although they do snap shut, it would have been better to have lids that felt sturdier (like a rubbermade type lid with a spout). These pitchers are almost identical to those used in the hospital when you are given water with your meal.
