Am satisfied with this product and have made about 5 gallons of distilled water since receiving it...A few comments to consider before purchase..For some reason mine has a plastic collector and may have been an option after my purchase. It takes around four and a half hours to process a gallon which equates to about 20 cents worth of electricity. Appears to need cleaning after 5-6 gallons. Still,all that "icky" floating stuff is not in our glasses of water anymore.Product Review: Good Product

This is a great little product that functions just as you would expect it to. The only thing that I can't speak to is the longevity of the unit as I've only been using it for a few weeks now. However I'm able to easily produce about 3 gallons a day, cleaning is easy and turn around time between gallons is low. Also many people talk about the noise of the fan, it's actually not that loud, similar to a higher end desktop computer. If you use a fair amount of distilled water you can't go wrong with this product.Product Review: great distiller

This gadget is simply awesome!
Pour about a gallon of sink water, plug into wall outlet, hit the reset button, let it work about four hours and presto! pure drinking water!
Mine came with a plastic jug, though, will upgrade to glass later.

I use it almost everyday -- this is one product I don't ever want to live without! I've tried water services and buying bottled water, both were a hassle. For me the distiller has been the best option. Plus, everyday I fill my portable water bottle with water that I've distilled and take it everywhere. It's hard to drink any other water, even bottled, because the "taste" is so horrible, now that I'm used to "pure" water. When this distiller gives out I'll be buying another - immediately!
