Product Reviews of WalkFit Orthotic Insoles - Size HProduct Review: Walkfit - just another infomercial disappointment Summary: 1 StarsI have back pain and foot pain so I thought, after watching the infomercial, that this was just what I needed after hearing all the testimonials. I liked the fact that the heal was low, kind of like the Earth shoe of the 70's. But they neglected to tell you that the arches were not flexible but very hard plastic. The arches hurt like hell and I used the lowest one (they provide three different heights of arches.). Also, it took forever for them to get here. Almost a month! (I ordered from the Walkfit company, not Amazon.) I paid $10 shipping. What were they using? Pony Express? Anyhow, when I called the company about the pain, (I couldn't walk with them more than a few minutes) they told me I would have to get used to them but if I have foot problems I may never get used to them. WHAT??? The infomercial targets people WITH foot problems providing a list of various ailments such as heel spurs etc. Anyhow, I tried again and then the next day and so on for a few weeks. I really wanted them to work for me. Just hurt so bad I had to return them. After returning them, I had to call the company because the refund was also taking forever. When I called them about not receiving my refund (which was two weeks after they got the package according to my tracking number) they said they didn't put the refund through yet. A month later, I still did not receive the refund. I did eventually get the refund but had to call them three times. Crappy way to do business.
Anyhow, this is not the product that I expected, especially since they target people who are having problems walking but the product made it even harder to walk and painful.

Product Review: Really Helped Heel Spur Summary: 5 StarsIf you have a pre-heel spur condition or a heel spur - these may really help.
I have about 10 other inserts and none of them helped. In fact, most of the heel pad types made it worse. I had gotten to the point where I had to stop going for walks and when I first got up after rest, the pain was very bad; limping around like a cripple.
These have a low heel with a high arch and therefore stretch out the tendon; relieving the heel pain. I was a bit disconcerted when I received them, as they are made of hard plastic (thinking, man, how's this gonna be comfortable), but found it actually to be an overall advantage as the idea isn't to add padding, but to correct what was causing the problem. And in the case of heel spurs, adding padding at the heel makes it worse; and just plain cushioned arch supports do not do the job.
These are really hard to get used to, as until your arch stretches out they are painful - mine took a rather long break-in period. Have had them several months now and am now using the medium arch insert. A tip: you cannot use these in a shoe with a built-in arch support; but they work fine in a regular shoe or one with a removable arch support. Also, mine work fine in my sandals, which I wear a lot around the house.
Product Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 StarsEDIT:
One year later, I am less impressed with these. The plastic has warped, and the arch is no more (and I am not exactly a heavy person). I consider the price to be rather extravagant since these deteriorate so quickly. I think that Walk Fit might be aware of the problem. It seems that the new supports are made of a different type of plastic.

I know a school teacher, who is on her feet all day. She's the one who introduced me to these, and she swears by them! I'm a college student and I live off campus, which means that it is a one mile walk to class and back. I'd been having aching feet and tight calves, but this has helped so much.
Honestly, leg and foot stiffness and soreness is a thing of the past. Just make sure that you follow the instructions and break them in slowly. I know someone who ignored them and put the high inserts in and wore them all day. He hurt himself so badly that he through them out. After hearing me gush, he bought another pair, and broke them in properly. Now neither of us goes without them. They are very easy to transfer between shoes, and I have, on occasion, managed to fit them into some low heels. They will make all of your shoes fit the same, and fit right. I only wish I'd had these when I waitressed as a summer job!
$20 (the Bed Bath and Beyond price) is a lot to shell out, but it will be a one-time purchase. I've been using these for four months, and I'll never go with anything else!
Product Review: Good but not the greatest Summary: 4 Stars My feet are flat flat, I have been using prescription orthodics for around 12 years. The prescription inserts that I currently use have great support but could be better. Also, in my job they have to be changed out about every 6 months.
I went straight to the highest setting for the walkfits because the lower settings provided no support. They were uncomfortable (just like all inserts) for the first two days but once my feet "broke in" I was wishing that there was an even higher setting. Although durable, another downfall is that they only run 3/4 length, so the toes are rubbing on the bottom of the shoes with no insert - which is just annoying. All in all, they do provide decent support but not enough to run in. I would still recommend them at the amazons' price but not the websites' price. Give them a shot, they are not a bad product.
