Product Reviews of WalkFit Orthotic Insoles - Size GProduct Review: Try them out - do it properly Summary: 5 StarsI can understand why some people don't like these and why you may see bad reviews of WalkFits. If you put them in your shoe and you don't have the proper padding they WILL be uncomfortable. Be sure to lift out the entire pad in your shoe - no matter how thick it is or how difficult it is to pull it out. If you wreck it you can always buy a new pad. You may even want to get a thin gel pad to put over the WalkFit, under the inner shoe lining if there is little or no padding. That's what I did with my sandals. Believe it or not with both the WalkFit and the gel under my shoe liner, it cannot be seen even though the back of the sandal exposes my heel. If you want to do it with flat backed ladies sandals, however, I don't think it would work. I would only do it with those that have a slight lip that cups the heel. I think they may look silly if they are completely flat, such as flip flop type or dress sandals. I have two pairs of WalkFits and I need more.
I ALMOST returned mine because they were so uncomfortable before I tried pulling out the entire padding (not just the top liner) in my shoe and putting it under. I really had to rip it out and I thought I was destroying my sandal while I was doing it, but didn't. The pad stayed intact and I was able to reuse.
These things really do work. I can be on my feet all day lifting heavy objects and my feet won't hurt. If you've ever worn a really good hiking or expensive work boot with a lot of support it will feel like that. (Before the WalkFits I had contemplated LIVING in my hiking boots because they were the only shoes that were comfortable. Kind of hard to go to a wedding in them, though!)
I have heel spurs and thought I would require surgery but my feet feel great now. I won't leave the house without WalkFits in my shoes. If the shoe won't accommodate them, I get rid of them or won't buy them.
I'm sure they are made out of the type material they are because they have a lifetime guarantee, are washable and are somewhat flexible. They also won't stink. I encourage people to work with them and try a way to make them fit properly and comfortably.
Product Review: skeptic Summary: 1 Starsimagine placing a roll of dimes in your shoe and trying to walk on it...that's exactly what this feels like.....i'm a 60 year old physician....this is the worst health related item i have ever tried...i'm off to the website for a refund
Product Review: Walkfit - just another infomercial disappointment Summary: 1 StarsI have back pain and foot pain so I thought, after watching the infomercial, that this was just what I needed after hearing all the testimonials. I liked the fact that the heal was low, kind of like the Earth shoe of the 70's. But they neglected to tell you that the arches were not flexible but very hard plastic. The arches hurt like hell and I used the lowest one (they provide three different heights of arches.). Also, it took forever for them to get here. Almost a month! (I ordered from the Walkfit company, not Amazon.) I paid $10 shipping. What were they using? Pony Express? Anyhow, when I called the company about the pain, (I couldn't walk with them more than a few minutes) they told me I would have to get used to them but if I have foot problems I may never get used to them. WHAT??? The infomercial targets people WITH foot problems providing a list of various ailments such as heel spurs etc. Anyhow, I tried again and then the next day and so on for a few weeks. I really wanted them to work for me. Just hurt so bad I had to return them. After returning them, I had to call the company because the refund was also taking forever. When I called them about not receiving my refund (which was two weeks after they got the package according to my tracking number) they said they didn't put the refund through yet. A month later, I still did not receive the refund. I did eventually get the refund but had to call them three times. Crappy way to do business.
Anyhow, this is not the product that I expected, especially since they target people who are having problems walking but the product made it even harder to walk and painful.
