This product does make me more alert in the morning. I definately doesn't make me spring out of bed. I like my sleep and taking these makes me begins to stir around the 4-5 hr mark. I usually sleep fairly hard and don't move much, so stirring around or tossing and turning makes me feel like I had a bad night in a hotel bed. It would make more sense if the pill didn't release the goodies for at least 6 hrs, then at least I would be mostly rested before I begin to toss and turn.
