I have used Wahl clippers for over 15 years. After adjusting my former clippers to the lowest that they could possibly go and without the 0 guard, I was able to achieve a very short cut. Unfortunately, my hair would grow back within 4-5 days. I just received the 8110 and could not believe it! It cuts very short, very comfortable, and I didn't have to go over any area that I cut. I approve these clippers 1000% and can say that as short (bald) as it cuts, no nicks or cuts whatsoever. I wish that I had known about this product years ago because it would have saved tons of time and discomfort. This is DEFINITELy worth the 40 bucks. Now knowing how it performs, I would easily have paid over 100 bucks for this, and I am frugal. Hope this helps.Product Review: Unhappy Customer

The item was missings parts and had been oiled by someone prior to receipt. It was a gift and I have never given anyone one a used gift until now. I will not use this vendor again and would not recoment them. Return and replacement would seem to have been offered immediated by the vendor but neither was offered. This is NOT a true balding clipper. A true balding clipper removes all the hair from your head. This clipper leaves about a two day growth of hair and it is bucky and heavy. Before these I used a Conair clipper that was truely a balding clipper but it is not manufactured anymore.Product Review: Wahl Professional Balding Clipper - Great product!

Great product! Works as described. Balding clippers "shave" your scalp without having to use a razor. I have been using clippers for years to keep my hair cropped closely and these are the best I have used for that purpose. This clipper is not for a "buzz" cut so be careful. They perform as advertised and leaves your head "shaved" with just a bit of stubble. There is no adjustment on this clipper meaning that you can't adjust the blades for the length of hair to be left after clipping. The only downside (if you want to call it that) is that since it can't be adjusted for length it really only has one use, although it performs that one job very well. If you are like me and also have a goatee it was easier to trim my hair and goatee at the same time using the same device by adjusting length. Now I need to use a beard trimmer along side my balding clippers. But the upside is that the trims last longer since these clippers cut closer. Hope this helps guide your decision.
