I have had remmington, norelco and braun electrics in the past. I used electrics to knock down the beard so I can get a close shave with a blade. For many people the multiple blade (2,3,4, and even 5) razors clog instantly with beard, making multiple blades a useless waste of money. To solve that requires a two step process. Electric followed by blade. This is the closest electric I have ever used. It is so close I don't follow with a blade every time. (Once and a while when I want to be real sure)
It does not leave areas on the face that require unique hand movements to get like all the others I have tried. Mostly this is a first pass shaver.
Others have noted the lack of ergo design and grips. True, but this device does not weigh very much and is easy to handle. It is not like you are holding it all day. A shave takes about a minute.
My only complaint is the AC charger is rated for north american voltages only. Traveling to countries using higher voltages requires a transformer converter rather than a simple plug adapter. The AC charger has the look and feel of a switch mode device rather than a transformer type which typically work with all voltages. I suspect it would work fine, and the problem is in the label only.
The gold foil is very nice against the skin, looks cool as well.

I gave this shaver what i consider a good try and ended up with what i take is a adequate effort! My biggest problem is the closeness of the shave NOT CLOSE ENOUGH FOR ME!Now mind you this subjective on my part but when you take in to account that i used the Remington Titanium (formerly the Black Man's Shaver also by Remington) for years this is basically comparison shopping. My Remington stopped holding a charge after years of usage so i decided to try something new. Not a wise choice! Probably in time i will go back to the Remington.Product Review: wahl bumpfree

My barber uses the same shaver on me when i get my haircut so i knew it was a good product. Once i used mined i received the same results and I am pleased.
