Product Review: Finally, Whal is back to a great set of blades!

I've bought a couple of new Whal trimmers the past 10 yrs and found I needed to swap the old blades for the new ones the last two times as the newer blades either pulled or just did not cut as well as the original blades from a much old trimmer. The newer blades just were not cutting as well. I broke the multi position trim guard for the second time a week or so ago and needed a replacement trimmer which made more sense than buying another too brittle, plastic adjustable guard. Whal had not returned my e-mail requesting to know if I could still buy another guard for that model. After reading the reviews I decided to buy this trimmer and have been very pleased with the product. This is the best set of blades on a new Whal trimmer in the last ten years and I am very impressed with the ease of cutting a course, thick beard without any pulling or cuts. The new style and feel of the trimmer is a welcomed change too.

With the quality of many products continuing to decline, this item finally offers a great trim and works excellent on very close to skin contact without the need for any guard. I have finally retired my original Whal now, as well as the very old set of blades I had been holding on to for much too long.

I have not owned it long enough to verify how long it lasts per charge, but I doubt I could find a better trimmer for the money.

Feels small in my hand and thus is hard to grip. On / Off switch feels cheap and weak. Very loud, sounds as if its about to break. The plastic "six-position beard regulator" came broken and falls off the trimmer. The other attachments, bag and stand are cheaply made and of throw away quality.
Wish I had opened it and tried it in time to return it.
I do not recommend!

This trimmer was the right size - I only uses it to trim the mustache and needed something a bit smaller than my existing one. It holds a charge well, fits in those 'hard to fit in' areas due to the smaller footprint than the one I had. Just right for my needs.

I love it. I have had many mustache and beard trimmers, this one is by far the best one I have ever owned. The best part is the price. I have payed way more money for simular products that don't work or wouldn't last like the Wahl. This is a high quality product and you defenitely get what you pay for. I would recommend it to anybody, well at least men unless your a bearded woman.
