My old Wahl beard trimmer died after many years of extraordinary service. I loved it and simply wanted to replace it. This one looked similar, and it allowed for the use of rechargeable batteries - a plus. This was nothing like its predecessor. It was really loud and rough, with ill-fitting and incomprehensible attachments. To top it all off, it did not do an even job, so the trim looked poor. I sent it back. Amazon was great, but I won't buy a Groomsnan again. I'm wondering about Wahl in general -- has all their stuff gone downhill?Product Review: Cheap

The trimmer is functional, in that it cuts thick facial hair efficiently. The attachments, however, are very cheap, and are not as well designed as other adjustable trimmers. I had read a lot of negative reviews about the trimmer's combs but i found them quite sturdy. although the way combs snap on the blade it does seem like they could break, they are strong enough to endure that if u do it with a little care. i have used all the combs that came with the trimmer and they all work fine. the blade is very good too, it trims very close to the skin but doesnt hurt, like pulling the hair instead of clipping them. if u r looking for something very cheap and affordable and at the same time expecting a good result you can buy this. the shipping was very fast too. i received it in 2 days with standard shipping. i recommend this product with 4 stars.Product Review: Cheap and weak

I have been using an old Wahl hair trimmer on my beard for the past few years, however I started traveling frequently and liked the idea of having a more compact trimmer. I have only used the trimmer with the stubble attachment, however it takes much longer. It doesn't pull, but it's so weak it takes multiple passes (10+) on an area in order to cut all the hair.
In addition, the construction is much less impressive than on my hair trimmer and the travel pouch is make of plastic. Overall I was disappointed and expected a better product from Wahl.

Things I like:
*Battery charging, gives you freedom to roam around.
*High speed motor, save time and don't pull you hairs in.
*Depth of cut, gives better trim. (Its not a razer, so don't try comparing apples with oranges)
*A lot cheeper in this price
Things I don't like:
*Small width
*less options to change size
Net result is positive, you wont regret it in this price.
