After not being able to properly attach any of the guides and attempting to use this product once, it simply did not cut any hairs on my face. And honestly, isn't that the point? I am not sure how this trimmer got so many 5-star reviews, because it's performance is sub-par and it feels very, VERY cheap. It pulls hair all the time, takes a lot of passes to make an even-looking trim due to narrow size and crappy plastic adjustment heads. The only reason it got a second star is because it is only $15, and I guess one has to adjust expectations accordingly.Product Review: Some nuisances

The motor works well. The blade guard is almost impossible to put in place and if lucky enough to get it on, almost impossible to get off. The 7 trim guide does not fit on the head of the trimmer. Why does a manufacturer put out a product without attention to these "minor" details.Product Review: Still Working

In the past, I would purchase cheap trimmers and discard them after a few months when they get dull and not function as well as they use to. I found that it was more cost efficient for me to do this rather than buy an expensive trimmer that eventually degrades in performance after a while. I bought this relatively cheap Wahl 9906-717 Groomsman with the intension of using it for about 6 months and discarding it after it loses its sharpness.
Fast forward two years later, and this little gadget is still going strong. I use it every 2-3 days to trim my goatee. It is as sharp and doesn't pull hair (which is a sign that it's time to throw out). The motor is still fast and it performs just like the day I bought it. I didn't really keep up with the maintenance of oiling the blade, I probably did it around 3 times in 2 years. I will continue to use this razor until it finally stops working and then buy the same model.
