Okay, so these are the loudest clippers I have ever heard. I live in a Marine Barracks and everyone is able to hear the thing all the way down the hall. I had to buy new clippers just a month later because I couldn't stand the loud noise coming from these. Save your money and buy a different model. Wahl 79900N Clip-N-Trim
I have to agree with one of the other reviewers that the detail trimmer is not the best quality. It's flimsy and doesn't clip on like the other attachments. It takes fiddling to get it to work and the plastic seems like it will break eventually. The case that it comes in is roomier that the last wahl I had but again the quality is subpar. The plastic pieces are used to hold the clipper/trimmer unit was broken off with this unit and 1st one I received. Also the first 79900N that arrived looked like it had been opened and tampered with before I received it. The level attachments have been 'downgraded' from the older version that I had, the plastic is more flimsy and thinner.
With that said, the clipper itself seems like a decent economy item.

We had a simple kit that lasted nearly 4 years of bi-monthly haircuts. I didn't have any complaints until we tried this one! Remarkable! It did not overheat, which was a concern when cutting our toddler's hair & it doesn't take repeated attempts to get the hair off.
No complaints.

I love this product, but it's really not so easy to cut your own hair. I was doing swell with the #2 clipper, but then I got the bright idea of trying to fade the back of my neck with the #1 clipper. I ended up going a little too high and basically gave myself a high and tight. Decided that since I have been out of the military since '97, I might as well do the rest of my head with the #1 clipper. Britney has nothing on me now!
Still, in all honesty, this is a great product. It's really easy to do a professional job on what you can see. I just advise getting someone to get the back.
