I bought this to use on my dog to save on having him clipped professionally. It did the job, but it definitely isn't good for precise clipping. It is also very heavy, so my arm got fatigued rather fast. My last gripe is that doesn't feed very fast, and I had to continually pull it out of his fur and remove the build up of fur from the blades. This might work fine for human hair, but I can't recommend this for use on an animal. Additionally, the second, smaller trimmer broke after one use.
If you can afford it, go with Oster. I should have.

What can I say? It is VERY quiet. Works very nice. Had more attachments then you will ever need. Comes with oil, brush to clean it, mirror, cape, etc. If the price works for you, this is more than just child's play. I have had several clippers in the past few years as i cut my own hair. I have spent upwards of $50 for a clipper set that felt cheap and ended up lasting a short amount of time. Wahl makes a very excellent and easy to use clipper. The trimmer included feels cheap as it runs off a AA battery, but it does cut well. Clippers themselves are very quiet, sharp and comfortable in the hand (anyone who cuts their own hair will understand what i mean). I decided to be the guinea pig and cut my own hair with this in the mirror. Came out great and it was the first time I ever cut hair. I cut my hair that was shoulder length too and it still workhorsed it's way thru it. Used a #2 on the back/sides and a #5 on top.

Was very pleased with this purchase.
Been cutting hair for over a year now, and my last set of cheap Ebay clippers went out. After reading many reviews on this product I decided to take the plunge.
The clippers are nice and heavy, the cutter is aligned perfectly and very sharp. Cuts like a hot knife through butter. The many assorted attachment combs are great. I especially like the ones for trimming/tapering around the ears. This whole set made my haircut even easier and more blended.
The included trimmer is nice. It's small and quiet and uses one AA battery. I used a rechargeable Ni-MH battery to power it with. Glad I did for the little trimmer sucked the life out of that one battery.
Overall it is one of the best investments I have made to date. Well worth the price!
