I have think hair that grows very fast. After 2 weeks, my hair starts to get annoying as it doesn't feel short anymore! I decided to cut it myself after countless times driving to my stylist every 3 weeks and waiting for over 30 minutes to get a cut. All that time wasted for what is probably the easiest style...a simple short "crew" cut! It takes about 5 minutes! After reading some reviewers claiming that it too noisy, I was surprised that mine was soo quiet! No complaints here. I grabbed a hand mirror (large one) and started cutting the front with #3, then #2 to blend towards the back, and #1 for the sides and back. I was amazed at how good the clipper easily cut through my thick hair! This was too easy. Sure, holding a mirror and trimming was a little tricky at first, but you soon can cut by just feeling the contours of your head. I could cut my hair blindfolded! The small cordless trimmer is great for finishing touches. The trimmer was solid and strong! I can now save $300 a year on haircuts, gas, and time! The unit arrived in good shape with all included items. While this offering by Wahl does have a few more included items overall its the same Wahl trimmer that can be had at around $20 here on Amazon and at most discount stores. The 'powerful' motor sounds and acts exactly like a $20 model we have had for a year.
If you are looking for a more robust or capable model by Wahl this is not the one you will want to purchase.

I bought this product and 4 days later I was given an email saying it was backordered and the site should not have had the clippers up for sale on amazon. I went back to the site days later and it was still up there for sale not saying anything about the backorder. They need to stay on top of what they have posted and fix it instead of making me wait days before saying they could not get the product for meProduct Review: Awesome US Made Hair Clipper

These clippers have already paid for themselves like ten times. They feel powerful and do not pull on your hair like those Con Air clippers. It has some weight to it and the steel feels sturdy. The best thing is they are made in the US which supports our workers all while being more reliable than cheap Chinese products. Overall I would recommend Wahl clippers over other brands, after all most barbers carry this brand. (Note only hair clippers are US made all the cordless wahl stuff is made in China...ewww)
