1st used item as intended with the ultrasonic feature. After use my mouthpiece changed and became hard. I have not used the ultrasonic since in fear of further damage. I have been using the UV light and believe there is still benefit in the sterilization.
Description of Violight Vio300 Dental Spa
The Violight Dental Spa is the only dental cleaner with sonic and UV technology. It uses sonic technology and germicidal UV light (the same kind used to sanitize hospital instruments) to clean and sanitize dentures, orthodontic devices, athletic mouthguards, and teeth whitening trays at a touch of a button. Proven to eliminate up to 99.9% of germs like E. coli and staphylococcus, the unit vibrates 8,000 times per minute and uses tap water to clean dental aides in just 5 minutes.
