I purchased this item about five weeks ago through Amazon and am generally happy with it. Here's the pros and cons as I see them:
Pros:
1. Useful in that two toothbrushes fit in the unit so you don't have a calvacade of sanitizers crowding your bathroom counter.
2. Instructions for use are clear and understandable.
3. Customer service is very helpful and responsive. The unit stopped working, so I called their 800 number, got an immediate response. The representative walked me through fixing the problem (FYI, you need to wipe off the battery contacts every time you change the battery and every second or third battery change, it helps to clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol).
4. The product comes with a one year warranty. Typically, you don't see that type of warranty on a product such as this.
Cons:
1. This is a battery hog. We use it twice a day and just put a third set of AAA batteries in it yesterday, so it appears it will need batteries every two weeks or so.
2. The spiraled battery contacts are easy to bend and break. Extreme care is needed when removing and inserting the batteries.
