I have looked at a lot of lamps, some more expensive and some less and this is about as good as it gets. The quality of this lamp is tops and in our opinions the light excellent. I would give it 5 star if the top could pull further over the user. Our light has to set behind the chair and not by the side of it, so this lack of adjustability is not important in every situation. It was also a little ackward having to reach up and behind one's head to turn it off/on. So we got a Wood's remote controle for it, had to adjust the plug to fit but now works greadt.
