Product Review: good but doesn't give enough bright light

it's a nice enough light. the nature sounds feature is a nice way to wake up to in combination with the light. in theory, the light turns on slowly and gradually til it's at it's max. but the turning on isn't as gradual as i would hope - i think i still wake up as soon as the light turns on. and when it is at the max light, i had hoped the light would be sort of be like sun light, filling up the room but it's rather dim. i changed the shade to get more light in the room. that all being said, it's still a very pleasant way to wake up. just not sure if it's worth all the money.Product Review: verilux natural alarm clock lamp review

This is a great alarm clock for anyone who hates getting up in the dark to go to work. The alarm can be set to sound or light or both. It will slowly keep brightening the light over the course of 5 or 15 minutes and wake you just as natural sunlight does. I did find that setting it for 15 minutes woke me before the set alarm time so 5 minutes was better. There is a definite difference in the type of light it emits. As funny as it sounds the light feels different than flourescent or halogen. I've noticed I'm more alert, energetic and less grumpy about getting up regardless of how much sleep I've gotten. The price at Amazon was the best, I've seen it for $199 elsewhere.Product Review: very dissapointing

I was really looking forward to this item, although after I ordered, I started to see negative reviews about defects and quality problems. I could never get the lamp to work--when I would turn it on it would start blinking on and off, as if there was an electrical short. Back it goes :( for the cost, I expected much better.
