Product Review: Great desk light

My favorite halogen desk lamp purchased in 1993 finally petered out, and I fretted over finding a good replacement. I work from home, and spend at least twelve hours a day at my desk in a windowless office. Most of the lamps at my local store either looked goofy or were way too big for my desk, and I worried that the light output I viewed when in the store wouldn't correlate to what I'd need at my desk. On a whim, I bought this lamp, and have been happy with it so far. The light is very flicker-free and natural, and I have no eyestrain problems with it. There's no single bright spot, probably because of the built-in diffuser, and it doesn't emit any weird noise or interference like a lot of fluorescents do. My only minor complaint is that the base does take up a bit of footprint on my desk - it would be nifty if it included some sort of pencil holder or change tray or something, but maybe I'll duct tape some sort of aftermarket cupholder on there. Overall though, it was great for the price and I really do like it.Product Review: Great desk light

I was a bit wary about the light being sufficient for studying since other reviews indicated that the light was too dim but I'm so glad I made the purchase. The light is great for reading and using the computer. It does not strain my eyes and it brightens the desk area sufficiently. The down side is that it does not light up a very large area but it's enough for one person to use on a desk.Product Review: Great lamp

Aside from it being larger than I expected, the lamp is great. The neck is flexible to angle where I want it to direct the light; there's a high/low setting; and it doesn't blind my co-workers when I have it on. In fact, you can't tell it's even on until you enter my cubicle-domain.
The light itself is pleasant and MUCH better than the over-head florescent lighting...and even if those are on, I still turn on my desk lamp to give extra brightness to my desk.
I highly recommend it for desk/bedside table lamps, just make sure you understand how large the base is (in case you have space limitations).

I bought this lamp because it says it doesnt give off any glare and is easy on the eyes for reading, doing crafts, Well it doesnt giove off much light either!!!! So you need another source of light in your work area also......... I didnt think it would fill up the room with beautiful NATURAL light but c'mon.........all in all its an overpriced night light!!!Product Review: I love this lamp.

It's made of plastic but it's heavy and durable - it does not look cheap at all.
Very pleased.
