I do about 300pages of reading a week and the natural light from this lamp is a godsend. My eyes still get tired but not irritated they way they used to. Does the lamp provide the light of a 1000 candles? No but it's a desklamp and not a search light. Well worth the money. I'm getting it as a gift for a family member.
Your eyes will thank you!!!

The quality of light from this lamp is quite good. The quantity is lacking. This lamp should emit a great deal more light to justify the price. Do not buy this lamp unless you only need light is a very small, defined space.Product Review: Buy this if you can afford whole unit every 3 or 4 years

I had total of 4 desk lamps last 5 years, they all were gone due to poorly designed product. I contacted customer service after 2nd desk lamp would not work properly although I replaced the bulb. I'm not buy anything from Verilux after this incident. It's good item, but I just can't afford to replace whole unit every 3 or 4 years.Product Review: Couldn't work better

Love this lamp and I am going to buy a floor model soon. The light seems to actually help me see better and no more tired eyes.
