It is difficult to review a product that does its job without leaving a trace. The only evidence I have detected so far is a distinctive odor when using it on the mildew in the shower. That odor and the knowledge that UV has been used as a sanitizer for many years convince me that this is a worthwhile product to have. We take this unit on vacation with us every year. Assuming it is working as it is supposed to, we use it in the hotels and condos during our vacation. This product is easy to use with simple instructions. I bought it to use to clean my daughter's bedding as it kills dust mites and lice eggs among other things. It takes longer to kill those things, but once you do it, you don't have to do it again for a while. I also liked that it kills e-coli, bacteria,the H1N1 virus, and other germs easily. You still have to clean things with a cloth or other cleaner but it sanitizes things you cannot see. My only complaint is I can't really tell if it is long enough...you have to look at the book to see how long you are supposed to go over the area or surface. It is good for sanitizing toys and baby items, computer keyboards, telephones, kitchen counters, bathroom surfaces, and other surfaces which you normally may not get to often.

Will only work on flat surfaces, as it turns off when pointed sideways. This means that it is mostly useless. Because what about the side of your mattress, or the side of your couch, or your head board? Absolutely USELESS!Product Review: awesome product

I have been using this product on our cruises. We have never come down the flu that had affected so many of our passengers. Use it on the door handles, sink fixtures, bedding etc. I also carry a small one to use on casino buttons, silverware etc. We also have the room sanitizer that cleans the air. No --- I am not a fanatic about germs but I won't let anything spoil a vacation.
