Product Reviews of Vaseline 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, 13-Ounce Jars (Pack of 3)

Product Review: TRUSTED MULTIPLE USE NAME BRAND PRODUCT
Summary: 5 Stars

There are so many uses for petroleum jelly that it boggles the mind. For health care, we have always stayed with the name brand of Vaseline. My babies' bums were protected with it,(the non-fragrant type) and it has been a mainstay for keeping our skin moist and healing chafed areas for 50+ years. People use it for many, many reasons. I have even used it to smear on a bird feeder baffle so that the squirrels would slide off before they could raid it. And, of course, the gypsy moth caterpillars were not happy to cross the black plastic bag rings on our oak trees the year I slathered them with a layer of Vaseline. It has been a trusted product over the years.

Product Review: Vaseline
Summary: 5 Stars

Great for layering over moisturizer for extremely dry skin. Rated low toxicity level on the Skin Deep website. Economical in bulk.

Product Review: Vaseline 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, 13-Ounce Jar (368 g)
Summary: 5 Stars

Vaseline 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, 13-Ounce Jar (368 g):

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly has been around for years and years. The uses are almost endless, temporarily protects minor cuts, scrapes, minor burns, helps relieve chapped or cracked skin and lips, helps protect from drying effects of wind and cold weather. Its main use is a skin protectant and it is incorporated into many skin products on the stores shelves in the drugstore.

People have come up with all kinds of uses for this versatile product, hinges that stick or squeak, a protectant for the storage of knife blades and tools that aren't used that often. If you need to protect something from the elements, often times you'll think of Vaseline to protect it from the damage caused by water and humidity. It's great for keeping your baby's bottom dry from a wet diaper. But, remember, Vaseline will get into natural fibers and it will be hard to remove and may stain or get on items and be difficult to remove.

There are five classes or types of ointment bases which are differentiated on the basis of their physical composition... Vaseline is an oleaginous base.

Vaseline is greasy and thus it is classified as an oleaginous ointment base. It's anhydrous, hydrophobic, the spreadability is difficult, it's difficult to wash off, but it is excellent in occulsiveness.

Vaseline is a highly refined product from regular petroleum jelly... it's the third purification step that makes Vaseline 100% pure, this step is the most expensive of the three. I gave Vaseline 5 stars, for versatility, purity, usability and it's a wonderful base for other compounded skin products.

Product Review: an all around great moisteriser
Summary: 5 Stars

I use a lot of vaseline. It is a great moisturizer, reasonably priced, and does the same job that a great many, higher priced products does.
A great
