I bought this for my daughter who had broken her ankle and leg. It provides much better mobility than crutches. Be aware though, that the wheels do not steer (the "steering wheel" model is over $400), so it may not be as useful for some folks depending on their particular injury and strength. It is lightweight and folds easily. A hand brake can also be set to keep it from moving.
