I think this is the kind of thing that is only effective in that, because you are aware that it is there, you may learn to keep your shoulders back. Why are you aware that it's there? Because it's uncomfortable!
Also, it rides up in back so that it ceases to be as effective as when you first put it on.

I found that this did nothing to help my posture and is extremely uncomfortable. It hardly keeps your shoulders back. If you slouch, you might be better off with something that has more lower back support.
