My mother-in-law, a strong, independent woman in her 80's, lived with us for almost 10 years. The last year and a half, as her strength and health slowly declined, were made much better for her and for us with the Lifter Seat. Instead of struggling to get out of her favorite chair (located about midway between the fireplace and the TV) she gently and easily popped right up when she wanted to; no need to depend on her daughter or me to help, with the necessary but worrisome pulling and tugging. She retained her independence and her dignity. It was one of the best purchases we made for her and we've passed it on a local agency that helps the elderly or infirm so that others can benefit from it.
