Product Reviews of TwinLab Ripped Fuel Incresed Defintion for Men and Women Tablets , 40-Count BottleProduct Review: A Periodic Assessment Summary: 3 StarsI've been taking TwinLab Ripped Fuel Metabolic Accelerator for about ten days now, and I'm hoping to make my review somewhat of a periodic assessment that I will augment every so often.
To begin, it's difficult to determine the benefits so far. With less caffeine than a cup of coffee, it's awfully hard to determine if the boost of energy one gets is from the Ripped Fuel or... well... from the cup of coffee you just had. So I'll start by saying that the pill is easy to swallow -- it doesn't quite classify as a "horse pill," though it is big. I hate swallowing pills, but I truly don't have a hard time with this one.
I have noticed a little bit more of a tendency to "crash" a little bit in the afternoon, which is something I will continue to monitor as I continue to use this product. So please be patient, and I'd appreciate any comments you might have that would help me measure the progress with this supplement.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I've realized that it is quite difficult to periodically review anything! :^) I can tell you that I haven't really been able to judge this product based on the time that has passed since I received it. The only thing I've really noticed -- and I've had to look closely -- is that my hands seem to shake a little a while after taking it. This could be anything, however... I do drink coffee as well.
Perhaps the bottom line is this: I don't lift weights anymore. I am an office guy. My wife and I have our first kid on the way, and our workouts are based on doing laundry, cleaning the house, and trying to get everything in order for the arrival of the baby. The most helpful I can be is to tell you that for many of us, this product is like buying an article of clothing that we're never going to wear. So if you're like me... this might be the best product of all time, but it's not for us. If you're someone who buys the stationary bike and actually uses it... or the home gym, or the gym membership, then Ripped Fuel might be for you. But don't get it if you're not committed.
Product Review: Energy - Yes; Definition - No Summary: 3 StarsI just finished my 20-day routine of taking two of these pills daily. One with breakfast, the other with dinner. I can safely say that the pills do give you energy -- and not just caffeinated energy. I know they gave me the stamina I needed to make it through the evening and get things done. I was pleased to see that some of the energy boost did not come from caffeine, what many pills use. Granted, there is caffeine in these but there is also other ingredients that help generate energy as well.
As far as definition, or adding muscle, I really didn't notice any. I do lift weights and try to walk 3-4 miles per day. However, besides giving me the energy to complete these tasks, I really couldn't notice much of anything else.
So, overall, I rate them at around 75% for their stamina ability. A good alternative for those who don't want to be pumped up on caffeine alone.
Product Review: mixed thoughts even after a while of use Summary: 4 StarsHaving used this now for a little while I have some mixed thoughts. However, I gave this 4 stars because I think it does what it says it does and so should be judged by that, rather than what I might personally want it to do.
First off, this is a supplement not a independent miracle maker. Not only is this intended to be a dietary supplement, it is, even more so, a supplement for daily exercise. This is made to work alongside the bodies own mechanisms, not be a replacement for them. It works in this a couple of ways I've found.
The first is chemical. There are others who know more about the effects of the various parts of this, but I certainly did notice effects, including less overall hunger and seemingly less effects from eating. I burned food quick.
The second is motivational. The caffeine and other additives make this very much like an energy drink. It says it has less caffeine than a cup of coffee, however I noticed effects far beyond my morning cup of coffee (though, certainly I lost a lot in the aesthetic enjoyment). It lasted much longer.
I took one in the early morning around 7 and another when I started feeling a little lag in the early afternoon, after lunch about 1 or 2. The long lasting affects means I'd be very wary about taking these in the late afternoon or evening.
This motivation means it pushes you to want to exercise. Indeed, not exercising while taking this becomes a frustration, because the pent up energy wants to go somewhere. The effects mean that you almost have to release it somehow or become too distracted to focus.
Indeed, it encourages a more substantial workout than usual, to release this energy and get the body moving in the ways it wants to move. Without a more substantial workout, it has seemed to me better to just take one pill.
Indeed, I tried both taking 2 pills and 1 pill each day and found that the one pill really ended up working better for me. Maybe those who have more intense daily workouts would find the 2 a day method better.
The one thing that I am still wondering about is the massive amounts of B12 that each pill contains, about 833% of what is daily recommended. B12 has a lot of great qualities, however, this is a huge amount of extra that leads me to think it may result in overdoing it. I noticed after the first day or 2 that I had a skin rash, small pustules, and signs of what might be eczema, which I've never, ever had before. I noticed that too much B12 can result in dermatological issues, and so may or may not be the source of what I had (it could also be allergies of some other kind).
Because the body is processing quicker these pills also seem to lead to an easier dehydration. Like any time of intense exercise, drinking lots of water is essential and so its easy to respond to this, if one pays attention.
Overall, I see this as a helpful supplement. It demands daily exercise, drinking more water, and otherwise seeing this as a partner in health rather than a miracle weight loss cure by itself. The price is certainly good for this kind of product. I am, however, going to continue to watch for the various symptoms of too much b12 and otherwise watch for other kinds of symptoms I didn't experience before using this. I will likely be taking 1 pill a day, as well, as I experience good effects with this half dose.
If you take this watch your body, not only for results but also for less desired effects. This is good, but it's not for everyone and it's not to be used without care and awareness.
Product Review: Works for what I want from it Summary: 4 StarsI'm not a doctor, and can't give medical advice. I don't know exactly what the ingredients in Ripped Fuel do to my body -- all I can say is that taking one in the morning makes me feel like I've had a powerful energy drink without the calories that usually come with it.
No pill is going to give you long term weight loss without exercise and dieting. Having said that, I've found that when I've worked on weight loss with exercise and dieting I often reach a plateau where I don't see any gains. That's when something like Ripped Fuel is most beneficial -- it just adds a boost of energy that can push performance up a bit, get you working harder and assisting you in the process of making longer lasting the natural acceleration of metabolism that comes from aerobic exercise and from increased muscle mass due to strength training. I've tried a few non-ephedra based supplements like this one, and as far as I can tell this one is superior to most of the others I've tried. Things I've read support that as well.
Once again, I'm not a doctor and haven't done anymore than try this one for a few weeks, so anything I say about it is purely anecdotal. So far what I can say is that it seems to boost my energy levels and that motivates me to get out there and exercise and makes it easier to focus on foods that meet my needs rather than give me jolts of carbohydrate energy. As far as I'm concerned, you can't really ask for more. Plus, these are cheaper than energy drinks (and their effects seem to last longer).
Product Review: Surprisingly effective. Summary: 4 StarsNever did I ever think I would be giving this a good review. But it is simply great for energy. It's not really a diet pill, but certainly would promote exercise easier. I have not taken it long enough to assume it has weight loss benefit. I do drink energy drinks often, and I did find by taking these that I had not had any. So, figuring this bottle is a 20 day supply, and drinks are about 2 bucks a pop, this saves a few dollars, and it is obviously healthier. Expect nothing from trying it, and you will see the benefit.
