Product Review: Decent for the money

I've been using this brush for a year now, and I have to say that you get what you pay for. This is a cheaply made badger brush, but I guess for a starter it makes a good one. I am still losing bristles to this day when I lather soap up. It hasn't really gotten any better, I've just learned that I have to be very gentle and patient with it if I don't want to have hairs fall out of it. Overall I wish I had paid a little more on a brush to begin with, but I also wasn't sure at the time if I would like classic shaving with a safety razor.Product Review: Decent shaving brush

I just received my Tweezerman shaving brush, I've used it a few times and find it a pretty decent product thus far. For the $12.00 I paid, you really cant go wrong. I can say this, it's not as good as a C-MON I found at a garage sale a few years ago. Now that thing is amazing, shaving suds to spare. Funny thing is, it's not made from Badger hair like the Tweezerman is, not really sure what it's made of? I can most definitely say, the Tweezerman beats the offerings at Walmart or any drugstore by leaps and bounds. But they really do. I had a boar's hair brush before this, and the badger bristles really are far superior. It takes a lot less soap to make a good lather with the badger. If you're a brush user, definitely give it a try.Product Review: Does the Job

I am no expert in badger brushes, but this was the cheapest brush I could find that used badger bristles. Lathers up the soap well when I shave so I would recommend this product if you are just getting into wet-shaving. Only issue is that some of the hair bristles have fallen out, but after a year of owning this brush, it still works great.Product Review: Does the job, great price. One minor item.. see below:

Badger hair shaving brushes are not the cheapest items in the world. Not to mention usually you get what you pay for; however I have to say that this brush bucks that trend.
The brush does the job at a price MUCH better than the competitors.
My one minor issue:
-the first brush I bought repeatedly would lose hairs each time I used it. I hoped it would stop at some point but this went on for a month or so. In a strange sort of luck, I managed to leave the brush behind on a business trip and had to purchase a new one. The new brush works like a charm.
In a nutshell, I would not hesitate, if you need a shaving brush and do NOT want to pay an arm and a leg then this is the brush for you.
On a side note, if you are considering this brush you should also consider (if you have not already) switching to a Safety Razor rather than the economy razors you find in the supermarket. My shaving experience and outcome has changed considerably as a result of using this brush as well as the safety razor. My recommendation for a safety razor: Merkur Classic Safety Razor, Straight - #178
