Product Review: Cheap junk - sheds, smells, cracked handle, poorly finished

You get what you pay for. Brand new, my Tweezerman brush shed like a sick cat, smelled bad when wet, had a small crack on each side of the handle, and even had a small piece of paper embedded in the lacquer. I wish I could return it, but I tossed the packaging and didn't get around to using it for a month. I think the shedding has finally stopped and the smell is gone (probably from the glue) but I'm going to sand and refinish the handle. It works, but it's definitely the bottom of the barrel for a badger hair brush. Get something better if you have the money.Product Review: Cheaper badger hair shaving brush

This brush is one of the cheaper ones that I have seen in the market. I have been using it for a few months. I like it mostly. Initially, I thought a lot of hairs separated from the brush, but that has slowed down now. It DOES hold more moisture and lather than a synthetic hair brush, but could hold much more.
Buy it if you want a cheaper version of the badger brush OR are just starting out on the "old-school" double-edge shaving approach. Otherwise, if you consider yourself to be an expert, buy a better one

APPERANTLY I HAVEN'T DONE MY RESEARCH RIGH, I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A GOOD BRUSH FOR ABOUT A MONTH OR SO,SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST BRUSH AND I DIDN'T WANT TO GET AN EXPENSIVE ONE AT THIS STAGE. THE PRICE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, LOOSES HAIR RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, AND WHEN SHAVING IT LEAVES HAIR ON YOUR FACE, IT ALSO STUNCK LIKE A RUBBER OR SOMETHING. I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE FIRST- SECOND USE (BUT I DOUBT IT). SO I'M PROBABLY GOING TO GO WITH A HIGHET QUALITY BRUSH.Product Review: Dad Loves It

I got it for my father after reading the other product reviews. The price was competitive and after Dad used it for the first time....I was glad I made the right choice. He said a night and day difference compared to his earlier synthetic brush he used to use.
He is hooked for life!

I got this to replace my horse hair brush. Atleast I think it was horse hair. Definitely not badger hair. The Tweezerman brush only cost me $13 so I thought it would be a good place to start with the badger hair brushes which can get quite expensive.
The first couple of times of use it lost some hairs but not alot and that seemed to cease. The horse hair brush I had was much softer but didn't make a lather with the soap like this one does. This brush creates a nice thick lather with shaving soap, seems fairly well made and dosen't look too cheap so if you're just getting into using a brush and soap for shaving the Tweezerman badger hair brush isn't a bad place to start.
