Now this is a good shaving brush. The badger hairs mix up a very good lather with either shaving soap or regular soap. I prefer "Octogon Soap." Why? Because it deep cleans your skin as it smoothens your beard for shaving. The Tweezermans brush also spreads a thick, rich, lather uniformly over your face; better than a clumsy can of shaving cream which I always hated! Men, sometimes a step backwards is a good step! I don't know what's wrong with all the other people,s Reviews losing hair and it being to stiff ect. If your into shaving and have read the forms or simply the directions that came with brush, you would not have problems with loosing hair and it being stiff.
This is a wonderful brush close to the expensive $100 brushes.
This is what I recommend before using this brush
1. Take it in the shower or bath or sink and wash with shampoo let sit for awhile rub the shampoo into the brush real good. Then rinse and repeat with conditioner making sure you get the conditioner real good into the brush and let sit for about 5 minutes and rinse and repeat if you want. This will remove the smell that some people complain about and it will make brush real soft...
2. When done and after shaving do a complete rinse with warm water then cold water. Then shake all water out of brush and dry with a towel.
3rd and most important hang brush upside down or if you can't afford a stand then in a cup upside down or tilted.
You will or should not have any of the problems that people are complaining about. This is truly my go to brush. You will most likely lose a few hairs the first couple of times you use it but if you follow my directions it will be very little.
You can't go wrong with this one.
