Product Reviews of Triple Paste Medicated Ointment for Diaper Rash, 16-OunceProduct Review: outstanding - the only effective cream against dreadful blisters Summary: 5 Stars
When our son was a few weeks old, he started to develop a diaper rash that turned into two big open blisters, one per side, that stayed open for three or four weeks.
1) First visit to the doctor: let him air dry for a long time after diaper changes, and switch between Desitin and Vaseline. No progress, growing frustration.
2) Second visit to the doctor, a week later (different doctor): oh, you should use Neosporin (a topical triple antibiotic). Our son develops dozens of tiny new blisters, so we give up after four days.
3) Third visit to the doctor (again, a different doctor): buy Triple Paste - it's thick and will form a barrier. The blisters started to get smaller immediately, and were gone within a week. We now use this paste regularly, prophylactically.
4) Yet another doctor (quick tip: don't let anyone try a spinal tap on your newborn unless there is a really good reason besides a single unconfirmed high temperature reading) surmised that the key ingredient is corn starch, which neutralizes the acidity of urine. I just checked a tube of Desitin, and it does not list corn starch. Oddly enough, corn starch is listed as an inactive ingredient in Triple Paste.

Product Review: thick and stays in place Summary: 5 Stars
I love this diaper rash cream because it stays in place and provides great protection. I think it's a little expensive but definitely worth every penny. My recommendations are to buy the large jar since it's more cost effective.
Product Review: try this first!! Summary: 5 Stars
My poor 6 week old baby girl had a pretty bad diaper rash. Her skin was raw and bleeding. She screamed at every diaper change. We tried Desitin, A&D ointment, Balmex, and plain old corn starch. Nothing helped at all. I went online and looked up some info and found this stuff. I went to my local 24hr pharmacy at 1am and bough the 2oz tube. It made a huge difference from one diaper change to the next. It is a pricier than the other stuff but my baby's comfort is well worth it. I'm going to buy the 1lb tub and make sure I use it at every single diaper change. I don't ever want to see my baby suffer with another diaper rash. Don't waste your money and more importantly your baby's comfort on anything else. Just get this stuff first.
