Product Reviews of the Triple Paste Medicated Ointment for Diaper Rash, 16-Ounce

Product Review: outstanding - the only effective cream against dreadful blisters
Summary: 5 Stars

When our son was a few weeks old, he started to develop a diaper rash that turned into two big open blisters, one per side, that stayed open for three or four weeks.

1) First visit to the doctor: let him air dry for a long time after diaper changes, and switch between Desitin and Vaseline. No progress, growing frustration.

2) Second visit to the doctor, a week later (different doctor): oh, you should use Neosporin (a topical triple antibiotic). Our son develops dozens of tiny new blisters, so we give up after four days.

3) Third visit to the doctor (again, a different doctor): buy Triple Paste - it's thick and will form a barrier. The blisters started to get smaller immediately, and were gone within a week. We now use this paste regularly, prophylactically.

4) Yet another doctor (quick tip: don't let anyone try a spinal tap on your newborn unless there is a really good reason besides a single unconfirmed high temperature reading) surmised that the key ingredient is corn starch, which neutralizes the acidity of urine. I just checked a tube of Desitin, and it does not list corn starch. Oddly enough, corn starch is listed as an inactive ingredient in Triple Paste.
