We have used the plug-in type vapors and prefer this Triaminic fan by far. The nice thing about this unit is you don't need an outlet so you can place it anywhere in the room. Also, it doesn't have the bright blue night light that the plug-in kind has. Contrary to the other reviewer, I find the cherry scent to be pleasant and much less offensive than the plug-in menthol smell. Also the vapors last through the night, whereas the plug-ins only last about 4 hours before they smell hot. Great product!!
