This lapdesk is just what I was looking for. The light is bright enough to light the keyboard, it's not heavy, it's cushioned enough to be comfortable in my lap and large enough to accommodate my 17" laptop. I highly recommend this one!
Con: 4 size "C" batteries are needed for the light. An AC cord would be a nice feature. I opted to use rechargeables.

I love this lap desk. I have been trying to find one for a long time. I admit I was being picky. I wanted one with a pillow bottom not one filled with those beads and I wanted it to have a large area that papers would actually fit on. This is a great lap desk. It is light and comfortable, and it doesn't get hot sitting on my lap. My only concern is that the light sometimes gets in the way. I don't use it at all and wish that it wasn't there, but the rest of the desk is wonderful.Product Review: Great desk... BAD light

The desk is great the light does not do much. However, if you are true scholar you have lamps that clip to things... and that is exactly what you need for something like this!

Love this product!! I use it all the time. I use it to read my text books and the news paper, use it to write notes and use my laptop on. Great size, comfortable and not too heavy. Would recommend.
