Product Review: Degenerative Disc Disease

I bought this for my husband who is suffering from degenerative disc disease which causes him a lot of pain in his neck and pressure on nerves which make pain in his arms. His physical therapist suggested he get an over-the-door traction device to relieve some of the pain. He did get the device but didn't use it very often because it involved putting water into a large bag, sitting just right, wearing an uncomfortable head strap, and staring at a door for 15 minutes. I looked all over Amazon for different products and decided on this one based on the good reviews. We are both very pleased with this item! It is very well made, easy to use, and VERY helpful in alleviating his pain. He can wear the collar without inflating it for support and then inflate it when needed. This is a great product. I've been going to a chiropractor for 6 months for a stiff neck due to 2 bulging discs. My neck felt better with traction twice per week, but even with insurance my co-pay was $50 per week. I'm currently waiting to start physical therapy and was looking for some way to help my pain. This is it! What a great product. In a way it is even better than the traction I was getting at the chiropractor, even though the stretch is gentler. I can use it several times a day, bring it to work, and use it in the car on long trips. It helps (even when not inflated) to keep your head propped up and in proper alignment. My husband suffers from Kyposis and has weekly, if not daily, migraines and chiropractic visits to relieve the tension and pressure from his neck and head. He has used this product for the past week about 20 minutes a day and has not had any headaches or chiropractic visits yet. He says the product really relieves all the pressure he is feeling and is almost like an exercise to the neck. This product is quality made and worth every penny. the neck traction device is easy to use if you can reach around your neck to put in on...which I have difficulty with...I have used it once and noticed a small defect in the material on the inside of the collar after the first use. I will say the product arrived within three days of order.
